[ 0144: The Catch ]

This happened in 1981 NFC championship game between Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers. The game was well played and thrilling to watch. Only Doug Donley (Cowboys WR) played poorly.

Cowboys were leading 27-21 late in the 4th quarter. At the 3rd down and 3 (58 seconds remaining), Joe Montana (49ers quarterback) tried to throw. Too Tall Jones (72), D. D. Lewis (50) and John Dutton (78) all chased Montana (16). But Montana's pass (which looked like a throw-away) somehow flew high and entered into the end zone. Even Everson Walls (24) could not make it an incomplete pass. Dright Clark (87) caught.

This was the beginning of the Golden Dynasty.

私はフルゲームの録画を観ましたが、Cowboys が逆転されたあとにまた再逆転のチャンスがありましたね。 QB Danny White (11) のパスが Drew Pearson (88) に通ります。タッチダウンか？
